Best Halibut Recipe Ingredients:- 1 lb Halibut Fillets - sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons White Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Thyme
- 2 teaspoons Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Paprika

Best Halibut Recipe Instructions:Place halibut in a bowl with olive oil and let stand 30 minutes. Combine spices in a 9-inch pie plate. Heat cast iron skillet upside down over high heat 5-10 minutes, or until very hot. Using a hot pad, turn pan right side up. Remove halibut from olive oil and drain. Dip fillets into seasonings and coat each side evenly. Put fillets into hot skillet and cook 2-3 minutes on each side, turning only once.
