Gingered Sardine Recipe

Gingered Sardine Recipe Ingredients:
  • 20 Sardines
  • 1/2oz Ginger

    Simmering Liquid:
  • 1/2 cup Kelp-Flavored Fish Stock
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/8 cup Sweetened Cooking Sake
  • 1/8 cup Japanese Rice Wine
  • 1½ tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar

Gingered Sardine Recipe Instructions:
  • Remove fish heads and wash then pat dry.
     

  • Cut ginger into matchstick-size pieces.
     

  • Preheat oven to about 450 degrees.
     

  • Place sardines, ginger and simmering liquid in oven dish with a lid, place parchment paper on top then put lid on.
     

  • Cook for about 15 minutes; leave in oven for another 15 minutes before serving.
