Smoked Trout Recipe and Appetizer

Smoked Trout Recipe and Appetizer Ingredients:
  • 1 Boneless Smoked Trout - about 8oz
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese - softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Prepared Horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon minced Red Onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced Flat-Leaf Parsley
  • 1/2 Lemon - juiced
  • 4 Ribs Celery - cut into sticks
  • 1 Endive - separated into leaves

15 min

Serves:
6 - 8

Smoked Trout Recipe and Appetizer Instructions:
  • Remove the head and skin.
     

  • Flake the trout fillets.
     

  • Combine together the cream cheese, sour cream, and horseradish in a food processor then add the trout and pulse and blend to a smooth texture.
     

  • Put the mixture in a bowl and add the onion and parsley and the lemon juice to taste.
     

  • Refrigerate for around one hour until firm.
     

  • Serve and garnish with celery or endive leaves.
