Melt 1/3 cup butter in microwave then add almonds and heat for further 3 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Put the almond mixture to one side.
Arrange trout in a shallow baking dish and brush each fillet with 1 tablespoon of butter. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice to taste.
Cover fillet with wax paper and microwave for around 7 minutes or until fish is flaky.
Place almonds over fish and microwave uncovered for a further 2 minutes.
