Trout with Clam Stuffing Recipe

Trout with Clam Stuffing Recipe Ingredients:
  • 6 Fresh Trout Fillets - about 6oz each
  • 1 can Clams
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 tablespoons chopped Onion
  • 2 cup Soft Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 1 can Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Parsley
  • 1 tablespoons Butter - melted
  • 3 tablespoons Fine Dry Bread Crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Pimento - chopped

Trout with Clam Stuffing Recipe Instructions:
  • Drain clams and rinse.
     

  • Melt butter and sauté onions until tender then add clams, bread crumbs, salt and pepper to taste and lightly toss.
     

  • Place half of the fillets in a greased baking dish on a raised rack. Top with stuffing and cover with remaining fillets.
     

  • Mix together soup, parsley and pimento and pour evenly over fillets. Cover the fillets bread crumbs and melted butter.
     

  • Place in oven at 450 degrees and bake for 25 minutes. Fish is done when it flakes easily when tested with a fork.
